BBI developed a unique ‘in-house’ process for manufacturing superior quality gold nanoparticles in 1986 and has since grown into a major supplier of products and services, ranging from the supply of bulk gold colloid through to high volume manufacturing of rapid tests, to a global customer base. They offer gold and silver reagents guaranteed for sensitivity, stability, reliability, and quality.
Scientists at BBI routinely measure the mean size as well as the size distribution of their gold colloids to ensure that the product requested precisely meets specifications. By using a thorough three point check, all gold batches are manufactured to a consistently maintained quality standard.
Custom Conjugations
Since a gold conjugate is one of the most important components of a rapid test, the production of high quality gold is essential for delivering optimal performance. With over 15 years of conjugation experience, BBI offers its clients market leading feasibility studies both in terms of value and expertise.
BBI’s custom conjugation scientists perform more than 300 individual gold conjugations a year across a variety of different, and often unique, applications. Their custom conjugation service develops excellent quality conjugates using reagents provided either by the client or sourced by AbDSerotec and combined with BBI’s superior gold colloid.
