Human protein S purified from plasma

AHP1839 recognises Protein S, a vitamin K-dependent plasma glycoprotein. In its free form it functions as a cofactor to activated protein C in the degradation of coagulation factors Va and VIIIa. Protein S binds to phosphatidylserine-positive apoptotic cells and may facilitate in the clearance of early apoptotic cells.

This reagent is also available as nephelometric grade whole serum and in bulk quantities. Please enquire for further details.

This product should be stored undiluted.

Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
